The Institute of Mathematical Machines (IMM) is a Warsaw based research and development institute. As a public sector institution it is responsible for the development of innovative ICT technologies development, their application and dissemination. These technologies include biometric devices and security systems, modelling and simulation, e-learning systems and services, documents management systems, knowledge bases development and many others. IMM also offers specialized training (e.g. on .NET technology and e-learning) and European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) courses.
IMM was established in 1957 (the word „computer” did not exist in the Polish language at that time, therefore the old expression „mathematical machines” is still used in its name) and now operates under auspices of the Ministry of Economy. It is situated in the center of the city, within walking distance of Central railway station and main government offices.
